Dr. OLAJIDE, Michael Deji

. Michael Deji Olajide is a distinguished scholar of Religion and Theology in the Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He possesses a multidisciplinary academic background with qualifications in Christian Religious Studies, Religious Education, Theology, and Christian Education. He earned bachelor’s degrees in Christian Religious Studies from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Religious Education from Christian Theological Seminary, and Theology and Christian Education from ECWA Theological Seminary Igbaja. He also holds master’s degrees in Christian Studies (New Testament) from Olabisi Onabanjo University and Theology from Jos ECWA Theological Seminary.

Dr. Olajide obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in New Testament Studies from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) from Asbury Theological Seminary. His scholarly expertise spans biblical studies with emphasis on the New Testament, biblical exegesis, public theology, ecological theology, pneumatology, gender studies, disability studies, poverty studies, leadership, and security discourse.

An active researcher and prolific author, Dr. Olajide has published more than thirty peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in reputable national and international outlets. His publications contribute significantly to contemporary theological discourse, particularly within African Christianity and public engagement. Among his notable monographs are Pauline Epistles: An African Perspective (Blessed Hope Publishers), A Survey of the General Epistles (Lambert Academic Publishing), and Critical Introduction to the New Testament (Amazing Grace Publishers).

Beyond his publication record, Dr. Olajide is actively engaged in international scholarly collaborations. He serves as a Research Fellow with University of South Africa (UNISA) and is a Postdoctoral Scholar with the Global Research Institute, Pasadena, California, United States. His research seeks to bridge biblical scholarship, theological reflection, and contemporary societal concerns, with particular attention to the African context.
