Personal Statement
Lawrence Eniayo Sobola is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of English, University of Lagos, where he obtained his degrees: BA, MA, and PhD respectively. He has researched on the use of metaphor as a communicative tool in Nollywood films, political discourse, music, gender and culture. His research interests are Metaphor studies, Discourse Analysis, Sociolinguistics and Applied Linguistics.
