Prof. ANELE, Douglas Ibeawuchi O.

Douglas Anele Professor of Philosophy is a specialist in the Philosophy of Science, Logic, Philosophy and Cosmology and Philosophy of Biology. A renowned columnist in several newspapers in Nigeria, Anele is also widely recognized for promoting critical thinking and skepticism in Nigerian society.

His writings include both academic contributions and public intellectual essays, such as “A Brief Note on the Condition of Rural Areas in Nigeria” (2012). Prof. Anele also served as Head of the Department of Philosophy, University of Lagos, from August 2019 to July 2022.
