Personal Statement
Samuel Sunday ALAMU is a New Testament scholar, lecturer, and researcher with significant contributions to theological education and biblical scholarship in Nigeria. He currently serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Lagos. He holds a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) from ECWA Theological Seminary, Igbaja; a B.A. in Religious Studies from Olabisi Onabanjo University; a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Ekiti State University; an M.A. in Christian Studies; and a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies. He is also a member of several professional associations.
His research interests include New Testament Studies, Pauline Theology, Biblical Hermeneutics, Church History, Christian Ethics, Christian Leadership, Intercultural Theology, and Religion and Society. Dr. Alamu has published over thirty scholarly works in reputable national and international journals, book chapters, and a book titled The Final Days of Jesus Christ on Earth: A Synopsis of the Gospels. His research addresses contemporary theological, ecclesiastical, and societal issues within African and global Christian contexts.
