The Department of European Languages and Integration Studies at the University of Lagos is a leading centre for language acquisition and cultural integration. We specialise in Russian, French, German and Spanish, blending linguistic mastery with the study of global intercultural dynamics. Our programmes prepare students for careers in diplomacy, trade, education and multinational enterprise.

Academic programmes

The Department offers Pre-Degree, undergraduate (B.A.) and postgraduate (M.A., M.T.F.L., M.T.L. and Ph.D) programmes. Core courses cover linguistics, literature, translation and stylistics, with electives in integration studies focusing on globalisation, ECOWAS and Francophone Africa.
